Selkirk House Planning Application

As part of the SAVE MUSEUM STREET campaign group CEC is opposing the unnecessary demolition of several existing buildings in Bloomsbury, including a 17 storey concrete framed tower. In a cynical move, the new owner is seeking to push through scheme against all climate logic: we cannot afford this wasteful approach to development if we are to have a chance of slowing global heating- see our letter here.

Save Museum Street has developed an alternative scheme which preserves the existing concrete frame, saving thousands of tonnes of carbon dioxide from being emitted into the atmosphere (see image below). We encourage people to email Camden Council’s planning department on planning@camden.gov.uk and object to the planning application, ref. 2023/2510/P.
